One of the Great Good Places of New York, Chumley's bar at 86 Bedford Street in the Village served it up from 1922 to 2008, when a wall caved in during chimney maintenance. They've rebuilt on the site, and may reopen soon, but this cool three-color print commemorates the old original door, reputed to be the genesis of the term "86" for outta here. As in, "Moose, that rummy's had too much to drink, show him the door. 86 that knucklehead!"

Designed by artist John Tebeau, this handmade print is screened on 16" by 20" heavyweight archival, acid-free paper, each one signed and numbered as part of a limited edition of 100. Perfect size for a standard frame.

The paper itself is made by the French Paper Company of Niles, Mich., a family business since 1871, using only hydroelectric power. Wow!

Prints will ship in the US free of charge.

A framed version is also available (for pickup in New York City only), in a thin black metal frame.
